Cycling the Chinese seasons – March in the Fujian Tulou

This is the poster for our first trip of 2017 in Fujian.

Its in March and will be the earliest Fujian ride we have done, but  only by three days.

Fujian is one of the warmest provinces in China  with temperatures similar to Hong Kong.

This photo is a little misleading as it was taken in November when the skies are blue, and the air is dry enough to harden the corn kernels into seeds.

March is a little more misty cloaked bamboo forests.
Its the first buds on the tea hedges. It’s  wild plum blossoms in the hills.
