Selling Bongs from a bike in Hanoi’s Old Quarter

6.30 pm and it’s raining again on Hang Be in Hanoi’s old quarter.

Drinking beers, eating spring rolls watching the rolling/ shoulder pole market place that is the street.

I’m talking with Thanh, PA to Jimmy Pham from the social enterprise restaurant KOTO’s who provide hospitality training to homeless youth.

They are organising a 70 km bicycle ride in November to raise funds for their training centre.

Stay tuned for a Bike Aways Team event!

We talk back routes through the politically sensitive North West that will link together a bike ride coming down from Yangshuo China, through Nanning and across the friendship border to this fantastic event in Hanoi.

I am hoping to book him in for a reccy trip by motor bike.

We squeeze in a last beer before jumping a taxi for our train bound for Hue at 7.30 pm.
It’s cheaper to fly people tell us, but you can’t be drinking beers in the Old Quarter of Hanoi 45 minutes before your departure, setting the bones for a brand new social enterprise bike adventure.
